Intro to Mindfulness Meditation
Mindfulness meditation is a super simple but powerful practice that anchors us back in the rich simplicity of present experience, cultivating our capacity to engage in the full spectrum of our lives more skilfully and wholeheartedly. This session introduces and contextualises the straightforward methods underlying mindfulness meditation, and explains how and why they work (including within the context of anxiety and depression) before we practise a guided meditation together and discuss ways in which to bring these practices into daily life.
Establishing your Self Yoga Practice
A self yoga practice can be a powerful tool in which to carve out time and space in your life just for you: to connect to how you’re feeling and take exactly what you need from your yoga, whenever you need it, and all in the time you have available. However, it can be daunting to think of where and how to start, so this session takes care to demystify yoga, breaking down the physical and energetic concepts of sequencing, and ultimately demonstrating that all you need is a playful attitude of curiosity and a trust in your own body’s wisdom.
