The Energy Flow series of extended classes is designed to creatively explore the vayus: the five main ways ancient yogis described the experience of energy flowing in the body. Each class is an invitation to get curious about a different vayu through playful vinyasa, calming yin, as well as breathwork and meditation, taking delight in the different energetic, physical and mental effects they can bestow.

This session class explores Samana Vayu, the experience of gathering energy inwards to fuel our yoga practice and life beyond. Throughout the flow we will anchor our awareness in an idea of the very centre of ourselves, connecting and integrating to a sense of strength and steadiness there as we spiral through different shapes and experiences. The class will then unravel into sweet yin releases and breathwork to nourish and empower. 

Summer Inversions Workshop Series
Week 4: Upside-down & Inside-out

This special series of four sessions will empower you with the knowledge, skills and techniques to take off and fly in your yoga practice: towards shoulderstand, headstand, forearmstand, handstand and beyond. 

In our final session, we will combine the accumulative work of the previous few months to work towards backbend variations whilst upside down, including scorpion and hollowback, finding space, breath and ease in these deep postures. All that's left is to enjoy the uplifting energetic, emotional and physical benefits backbends and inversions can bring. As potent antidotes to our forward-facing, desk-ridden lives, these transformative poses strengthen around the spine, enhancing posture and breath-capacity, all whilst lifting the mood, stimulating the nervous system, and clarifying the mind. We’ll be floating back out into life!

Each class is an invitation to get curious about a different vayu through playful vinyasa, calming yin, as well as breathwork and meditation, taking delight in the different energetic, physical and mental effects they can bestow.

This session explores Vyana Vayu, the experience of full-body effervescence in our yoga practice. A rhythmic, flowing vinyasa sequence spirals through the body’s full range of motion to awaken a sense of vitality shimmering and sparkling through us. The class then settles into something much more like stillness where you can bathe in that experience of energy, soak it up and recharge.

Throughout the weekend I will be sharing the transformative yoga practices I hold dear: vinyasa, mandala, yin, restorative, nidra, mantra, pranayama (breathing), mindfulness meditation and much more.

A stone's throw from the Quantock Hills and coast, there will also be plenty of downtime to explore the broader countryside at your leisure, curl up by the fire, receive a massage, and immerse yourself in the tranquillity of the gardens.
